Description
  • Mice are common household pests who are able to sneak into the house through a hole the size of a dime. These pests sneak into a house through walls and build nests out of spare materials, such as string and insulation. Mice can eat just about anything, though naturally their diet is grains, seeds and sweets. They require very little water since they often obtain it through the moisture in their food.
  • Mice adapt quickly to a changing environment and so they are found just about everywhere. Mice are generally an outdoor pest commonly found around the yard but typically will come inside looking for food or to get in from the cold. Once there, they can be quite content remaining indoors, build a nest, and reproduce about 4-7 pups in each litter. House mice consume and contaminate food meant for humans, pets, livestock, or other animals. In addition, they often cause considerable damage to structures and property. Mice are well known for being able to carry many diseases such as salmonellosis, rickettsial, and ratbite fever.
  • Control Advice Mice sneak indoors for shelter during the cooler months to seek shelter from the elements. They will squeesze into the tiniest openings in your home so be sure to seal any crack or entry point. Have all tree branches that extend to the roof cut back, and regularly check the house for any signs, such as dropping, that the rats may be living there.
